OUR IMPACT

We serve thousands of underprivileged children and families across the country. We believe the future of America is in the hands of our youth and our mission is to not only love and care for our children, but to educate them and provide them the tools to help reach their fullest potential as adults.

OUR CORE FOCUSES:

Donald Driver’s passion to helping underprivileged children and families comes from his own personal background of homelessness. As a direct product of the painful memories Donald holds from that time in his life, the two main missions of the Foundation is to support struggling families progress in providing resources in education & workforce development, personal health, wellness; giving them a hand up, not a hand out.

  • The Donald Driver Foundation understands that not all children are given equal opportunities to get an advanced start on their education. Believing in the importance of education and knowledge, the Donald Driver Foundation has made education and workforce development a top initiative.

To date, the Donald Driver Foundation has opened two computer labs in inner-city youth centers. These computers are available for school-aged children to help them with their homework and are also equipped with special software to help pre-school aged children learn how to read.

We have also helped launch career development programs with our partner Goodwill Industries. Goodwill’s Workforce Connection Centers help bridge the gap between the job seeker & local companies. These centers offer job search and resume assistance, interview workshops access to computers, as well as on-site interviewing resources free of charge and no appointment necessary.

  • A major goal of the Donald Driver Foundation is to encourage families and children to lead more healthy and active lifestyles through our launch and support of programs and initiatives across the country!

The Foundation has launched physical fitness programs and camps to help promote exercise and engaged activity within today’s youth. This has also specifically been in support of the GO! Get Out campaign, targeted to fight childhood obesity. Donald Driver has led annual training camps in Wisconsin, Texas, and Mississippi, free of cost to the public. Camps led by Driver have provided families with fun, health-focused events, supplying incentives to combat against the rapidly increasing rate of childhood obesity.

Another initiative the Donald Driver Foundation has supported health in terms of nutrition is Blessings in a Backpack. Through the Blessings program it takes $80 to feed one child on the weekends throughout a 38-week school year. This is fitting since Donald Driver wore #80 when playing for Green Bay! 100% of all monies raised for a new or existing Blessings in a Backpack school program goes directly to food purchased for the backpacks.

The Foundation also supports American Red Cross, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, the MACC Fund and additional charities and programs who have common goals of wellness. Donald Driver has partnered with the state of Wisconsin to improve child safety in cars. As an advocate for WisDot Zero in Wisconsin traffic safety in cars, Donald Driver and his Foundation have helped improved the heath and well-being of Wisconsin’s youth!
